Hi, I’m Randa, and I’m an Aerospace Engineering graduate with a heart that’s always lived somewhere between the sky and what lies beyond it.

I’ve always loved aviation, not just on its own, how it connects with other fields, integrates cutting-edge technology, and inspires us to explore limitless horizons.

My journey truly took flight when I left home and chose to study Aerospace Engineering abroad in the United Kingdom, as it wasn’t available in my region at the time. Being an international student came with its challenges, from language barriers to the high grades required to progress into aerospace. My foundation year was intense and demanding, but Alhamduliah I passed it and enrolled in my desire specialisation! My passion kept me steady when everything felt turbulent.

There are so many young girls excited about STEM today, and I want them to know that stepping into this industry is within reach and keep their excitement fueled :)! With Elevate (Her) my mission truly to make sure they always feel like they belong in this industry, I’m incredibly excited to be part of this journey as we soar in aviation together.

مرحباً، أنا راندا، خريجة هندسة طيران وفضاء، وقلبي ينبض بحبٍّ متجذّر بين السماء وما وراءها

لطالما عشقت الطيران، ليس فقط في حد ذاته، بل أيضاً لربطه بمجالات أخرى، ودمج احدث التكنولوجيا والتحفيز على استكشاف آفاقٍ لا حدود لها

انطلقت رحلتي حقاً عندما غادرت منزلي واخترت دراسة هندسة الطيران والفضاء في المملكة المتحدة، حيث لم يكن هذا التخصص متاحاً في منطقتي آنذاك. واجهتُ تحدياتٍ كثيرة كطالبة دولية، بدءاً من صعوبات اللغة وصولاً إلى الدرجات العالية المطلوبة للالتحاق بتخصص هندسة الطيران والفضاء. كانت السنة التأسيسية مكثفة وشاقة، ولكن الحمد لله اجتزتها بنجاح والتحقت بالتخصص الذي أطمح إليه! كان شغفي هو ما أبقاني ثابتةً في أحلك الظروف.

هناك الكثير من الفتيات الصغيرات المتحمسات لمجالات العلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات اليوم، وأريد أن يعلمن أن دخول هذا المجال في متناول أيديهن، وأن يحافظن على حماسهن متقداً :)! تتمثل مهمة Elevate (Her) في التأكد من أنهم يشعرون دائمًا بأنهم ينتمون إلى هذه الصناعة، وأنا متحمس للغاية لأكون جزءًا من هذه الرحلة بينما نحلق معًا في عالم الطيران

My journey in aviation officially began in 2018, but the dream has been with me for as long as I can remember. I studied Aeronautical Engineering before completing my Integrated ATPL, and later pursued a career as a flight instructor, working across Europe in Hungary, Spain, and Cyprus.

The path has not always been easy, but every challenge helped shape my discipline, resilience, and passion for aviation. Today, alongside flying, I am also an author of three books and an advocate for greater awareness within the flight training industry. Through Elevate(her), I hope to inspire more women to believe in themselves, follow their dreams, and confidently take their place in aviation.

بدأت رحلتي في عالم الطيران رسميًا في عام 2018، لكن الحلم كان يعيش المتكاملة(ATPL)، ثم تابعت مسيرتي المهنية كمدربة طيران وعملت في عدة دول أوروبية مثل المجر وإسبانيا وقبرص.
لم تكن الطريق سهلة دائمًا، لكن التحديات التي واجهتها صنعت لديّ روح الانضباط والمرونة والإصرار. واليوم، بالإضافة إلى كوني طيّارة، أنا أيضًا مؤلفة لثلاثة كتب وأسعى لنشر الوعي حول صناعة تدريب الطيران وتشجيع المزيد من النساء على متابعة أحلامهن. من خلال Elevate(her)، أتطلع إلى إلهام النساء للثقة بأنفسهن وترك بصمتهن في عالم الطيران.

Sultana, our outreach representative:

Sultana is an MSc Air Transport Management student at Cranfield University, with professional experience in aviation safety and compliance auditing, operations, and project management. Born and raised in the UAE, she has worked across the Middle East aviation ecosystem and brings a strong regional and multicultural perspective to her work. She is also an emerging public speaker in the industry, with a mission to use her voice at industry events to empower women and support young professionals entering the field. At her essence, she is passionate about contributing to communities that encourage representation, confidence, visibility, and meaningful growth for women navigating their journeys in aviation, and through Elevate(her), she hopes to help build spaces where members at all stages feel supported, informed, and connected.

تنتمي سلطانة إلى جيل شاب من النساء اللاتي يعملن في قطاع الطيران، وتجتمع فيها الدراسة الأكاديمية والخبرة العملية. تتابع حالياً دراسة الماجستير في إدارة النقل الجوي في جامعة كرانفيلد في المملكة المتحدة، بعد أن اكتسبت خبرة في مجالات سلامة الطيران، المراجعة والامتثال، والعمليات، وإدارة المشاريع. لقد نشأت في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وعملت ضمن بيئة الطيران، مما شكّل وعيها المهني ومنحها منظوراً إقليمياً متنوعاً. كما تسهم سلطانة من خلال مشاركاتها في الفعاليات والحوارات المهنية في دعم المرأة، ومساندة الطلبة والخريجين والمهنيين في بدايات رحلاتهم في مجال الطيران. وفي جوهر عملها، تؤمن بأهمية بناء مجتمعات تعزز الثقة، والنمو الحقيقي للنساء في قطاع الطيران، وتسعى إلى إحداث أثر ملموس وداعم للأعضاء في مختلف المراحل وبناء روابط مهنية هادفة من خلال إليفِيت (هير).
